Manufacturers Group Meeting
Monday 23rd March 2015 5:30 - 7:30pm
Location: Indespension, Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 6HG
This Month's Guest Speakers:
Barbara Nixon & Dianne McLaren, Synaptic Change. “What’s it like being on the receiving end of you?”......... What was your gut reaction when answering that question? The one thing we all have in common, regardless of our role in business is that we all have to deal with people – and do this well. This interactive seminar is jam packed full of must have behaviours to ensure that being on the receiving end of ‘you’ or your mangers is not only a great experience but one that will really benefit your business.
Chris Jones, Gunnercooke. Chris will be sharing ‘War stories’ of some of the bad things that can happen to manufacturing businesses and how to stop them.Whether in good times or bad, in the early stages of a business or a business that has been run successfully for many years; all companies face from time to time financial issues and challenges. These may be caused by, for example: mismanagement; failure of internal systems; failure of a key supplier; failure of a key customer and non-payment of debts.I will look at the reasons issues arise, what can be done to mitigate or prevent them arising and how the challenges that do arise can be handled and dealt with, so that businesses can survive and grow...
The Manufacturers Group Meeting Format:
· We don’t follow the format of other networking groups with a 1 minute pitch or pressure people for referrals.
· We drink tea & coffee and eat good old Pie & Peas while chatting informally.
· We are very friendly and open about improvements we have implemented; funding we have utilized, new technologies, useful suppliers and other benefits, such as, referrals to new clients that will help other attendees increase their bottom line and grow their businesses.
· We make a difference by supporting local charities.
· We are currently a combination of 50 local manufacturing businesses, which is growing rapidly month on month.
There is a £15 entry fee which is donated to a local charity each month. This month we will be welcoming the Bolton Dementia Support Group, a charity that provides a range of activities, events and resources to support people living with dementia and those who care for them.
If you would like to come along to the Manufacturers Group please contact us to arrange a guest pass. Remember you need to be a manufacturer to attend and we do not allow people to turn up on the night without prior arrangement.
