Manufacturers Group Meeting
Tuesday 28th January 2014 5:30-7:30pm
Location: Indespension Ltd (Indespension Ltd, Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, Lancashire BL6 6HG)
Meeting Theme: Exporting
This Month's Guest Speaker:
Clive Drinkwater (UKTI - North West) – Clive will be providing an insight into exporting (those that are new to exporting and those experienced already) and why we should bother. He will also be doing all he can to give a little insight into the current opportunities for people attending the meeting.
Clive is the regional director for UK Trade and Investment in the North West Region, responsible for helping North West businesses achieve success in overseas markets. Clive has taken up this role following extensive private sector experience in international trade, working in industry and selling to over 90 countries worldwide. Clive has particular experience in Asia, having gained first hand experience of the area during spells living and working in Indonesia, Malaysia and China.
The Manufacturers Group Meeting Format:
· We don’t follow the format of other networking groups with a 1 minute pitch or pressure people for referrals.
· We drink tea & coffee and eat good old Pie & Peas while chatting informally.
· We are very friendly and open about improvements we have implemented; funding we have utilized, new technologies, useful suppliers and other benefits, such as, referrals to new clients that will help other attendees increase their bottom line and grow their businesses.
· We make a difference by supporting local charities.
· We are currently a combination of 50 local manufacturing businesses, which is growing rapidly month on month.
There is a £15 entry fee which is donated to a local charity each month. This month we have Glen Sheader from Bolton Society for Blind People. The charity was established in the late 1940’s to provide a weekly social club for Blind people in addition to information and advice for those with sight loss and their families.
If you would like to come along to the Manufacturers Group please contact us to arrange a guest pass. Remember you need to be a manufacturer to attend and we do not allow people to turn up on the night without prior arrangement.
