Manufacturers Group Event - Access to Funding
30th October 2012, 4.30 - 7.30 pm
The Hall of Fame, Reebok Stadium, Burnden Way, Bolton BL6 6JW
Directions to the venue can be found here
The format for this month will be slightly different as we are hosting our first event in partnership with Bolton Coucil and Bolton Wanderers Community Trust, "Access to Funding".
As the title suggests the whole event is themed around raising funding or finance for your manufacturing business and the options that are avaliable. We have our usual guest speakers and we also have a number of stands in the room hosted by a range of private and public sector businesses that can provide funding or finance.
The Guest Speakers for this month will be:
Bill Caldwell, Beer and Partners. Beer & Partners is the leading source of Venture Capital and Business Angel Investment for growing SME businesses in the UK. They understand that growing businesses need finance but also help if they are to reach their potential, with maximum discretion and at a reasonable cost. Bill will be giving a 'warts and all' presentation on how to attract a potential investor and preparing for investment.
Nick Brandwood, Manufacturing Advisory Service. The Manufacturing Advisory Service has been around for many years and has supported a huge number of manufacturing businesses with growth and improvements. Nick will be explaining how the 'New MAS' operates with more flexibility and the funding that is available to manufacturing businesses.
The Stands in the room will consist of the following businesses:
Business Bolton
The Manufacturing Advisory Service
Access to Finance
MIDAS
UKTI
Unite with Business
PMD Leasing
Winning Pitch - Growth Accelerator
National Apprenticeship Scheme
Enworks
Close Brothers
FW Capital
Jumpstart
UCLAN - DigitME
Meeting Format:
· We don’t follow the format of other networking groups with a 1 minute pitch or pressure people for referrals.
· We drink tea & coffee and eat good old Pie & Peas while chatting informally.
· We are very friendly and open about improvements we have implemented; funding we have utilized, new technologies, useful suppliers and other benefits, such as, referrals to new clients that will help other attendees increase their bottom line and grow their businesses.
· We make a difference by supporting local charities.
· We are currently a combination of around 40 local manufacturing businesses, which is growing rapidly month on month.
There is a £15 entry fee which is donated to a local charity each month. This month all donations will be presented to Bolton Wanderers Community Trust to assist them with the good work they are doing with young people around sport and education. (www.bwct.org.uk).
If you would like to come along to the Manufacturers Group please contact us to arrange a guest pass. Remember you need to be a manufacturer to attend and we do not allow people to turn up on the night without prior arrangement.
