The Manufacturing Advisory Service now part of the Business Growth Service, Business Growth Hub, Bolton Manufacturers Group, University of Bolton and Bolton Council have joined forces to deliver Innovate 2015 on 2nd July 2015.
Innovate 2015 is a manufacturer’s only event that will bring together over 100 ambitious manufacturing businesses from the North West and beyond, and will provide a range of speakers who are manufacturing business owners, entrepreneurs and innovators sharing their success stories, approaches and creative ideas with their fellow manufacturing community.

One of the key benefits to attending Innovate 2015 will be hearing how innovation is working well currently in the manufacturing industry and experiencing real stories and examples from industry leading entrepreneurs, such as Mark Seekings, CEO of The Pexion Group and Vikas Shah, CEO of The Swiscot Group.
Meeting other forward thinking manufacturers is always useful when you’re used to having your nose to the grind stone day in, day out. For the whole event attendees will be surrounded by like-minded people with a keen interest in innovation. They will also have the opportunity to network with a diverse selection of speakers, industry experts and exhibitors.
The Manufacturing Advisory Service now part of the Business Growth Service will be taking the stage to share the various sources of help and funding that will support manufacturing businesses in the area with any innovation efforts. As Innovate UK, the Intellectual Property Office and the Design Council are all now part of the Business Growth Service, it should be educational for us all on how this revised offering has changed.
The University of Bolton have been supporting manufacturers for decades, so this will be a chance to witness how the university are supporting other local manufacturing businesses and whether this kind of partnership could work for other similar manufacturing companies.
There’s no doubt that an event like this will provide new ideas and potential new approaches to innovation not experienced before. Gaining these valuable insights in what the future holds for the manufacturing industry will ensure attendees remain one step ahead and competitive in their own markets.
Chairman of the Bolton Manufacturers Group, Gary Sheader stated that, “Events like this make a real difference to manufacturers in the North West. Keeping up to speed with technology and innovation is a must to remain productive and competitive in the industry. Our group is almost 4 years old and has a core of manufacturing people that are extremely supportive of each other and sharing ideas with the rest of the members. This helping hand is also offered to a local charity each month whom the group invite into their monthly meetings to share how they are making a difference locally.”
The Bolton Manufacturers Group approach to supporting local charities has been in place since it was founded back in 2011. This event is no different and will raise funds for Bolton based charity Insyt Media, to support their efforts working with hard-to-reach young people in the town. Insyt Media are no stranger to innovation and creativity. They use music and dance as a medium to engage young people in learning. Life learning, learning to interact with others and learning to find their hidden strengths. They will make the funds raised go a long to making a real difference to young people in Bolton.
We cannot forget the support the event is receiving from Lloyds bank. Lloyds are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to supporting manufacturing and are doing so by sponsoring the event. This has allowed local manufacturers to exhibit at the event for free and showcase their businesses to the rest of the manufacturing community.
